Our Pastor

Rev. Paula W Stewart began pastoring at Gaines United Methodist Church in July 2025. Originally from New Jersey, Paula graduated from Webster University (aka College) before completing her seminary training at United Theological School in Dayton, Ohio.

Her first appointment was to Collingwood United Methodist Church in Toledo. Paula was ordained an Elder in full connection in 2013. Pastor Paula has also served Cherry Grove and Clough UMC, Central UMC (urban), Elliston Zion and LaPointe (rural) charges.

Paula was married to Roosevelt Stewart, Sr and they had three children, one of whom is deceased. Together they have thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
